Privacy Policy

Effective date: 4 May 2026 · Last updated: 9 September 2026

Plain summary: OddsOut helps you recover from gambling addiction. We collect only what we need to deliver that help — and your most sensitive data (journal entries) is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves it. You can delete your account and all your data at any time, with one tap.

1. Who we are

OddsOut is a mobile application designed to support people recovering from gambling addiction (sports betting, casino, crypto trading, poker). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

This app is operated by Diogo Alexandre de Freitas Dias Ipolliti Carrelhas, based in Lisbon, Portugal. For any privacy-related question, contact [email protected].

2. What data we collect

2.1 Account information

2.2 Recovery profile (you provide during onboarding)

2.3 Sensitive recovery data

2.4 Community data (only if you participate)

2.5 Technical data

2.6 App blocker (only if you turn it on)

If you enable the app blocker, OddsOut checks which application is in the foreground on your device, so that it can cover the betting apps you chose to block.

This check happens entirely on your device. The name of the foreground app is never transmitted to us, never stored on our servers, and never used for advertising. We do not collect a list of the apps installed on your phone.

You can switch the blocker off inside the app at any time, and you can withdraw the underlying Android permissions (usage access and display over other apps) in your phone's settings.

3. Why we use this data (legal basis under GDPR)
